Saint Catherine and Coloured Canyon by Jeep

Discover the beauty of Sinai by visiting St. Catherine Monastery on Moses Mountain and the amazing Colored Canyon in Sinai Desert.

Itinerary

In the early morning, our Egyvel representative will meet you to start your Saint Catherine and Coloured Canyon by Jeep.

First, you will be transferred by an AC 4x4 Jeep to St. Catherine Monastery which was built by emperor Justinian in the 6th century at the site where the prophet Moses is supposed to have seen the burning bush, but the monastery name was back to Saint Catherine, one of Alexandria Christians martyrs in the 11th century.

Then you will transfer to the Colored Canyon, one of the geological wonders of Sinai. It’s very narrow walls,40 meters high and a little more than a meter wide in parts are made out of sandstone possessing an awesome range of hues from dark brown to red to straw yellow.

In the end, you will be transferred to Dahab city for lunch, where we have time to walk in Dahab street. Then drive back to your hotel
